The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla – 171002, invites.Online applications from the eligible and desirous candidates for the following vacancies to be filled in on the basis of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Combined Competitive Examination.

  1. Ten vacancies of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Class-I (Gazetted), in the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100 +Rs. 5400 (Grade Pay). Out of these ,one vacancy is reserved for the category of scheduled caste (S.C.) of H.P.,One vacancy is reserved for the category of scheduled Tribe (S.T.) of H.P., One vacancy is reserved for other Backward Class (OBC) of H.P., One vacancy is reserved for Ex-Serviceman (Gen.0 of H.P., and the remaining six vacancies are unreserved.
  2. Two vacancies of Himachal Pradesh Police Service, Class-I (Gazetted), in the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100 +Rs. 5400 (Grade Pay).Out of these one vacancy is reserved for the category of Scheduled Caste (S.C.) of H.P., and one vacancy is reserved for the category of scheduled Tribe (S.T.) of H.P.,
  3. One vacancy (Gen.) of district controller (Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs), Class-I (Gazetted ), in the pay scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100 +Rs 5400 (Grade Pay)
  4. Fourteen vacancies of Tehsildar Class –I (Gazetted), in the pay scale of Rs. 10300 – 34800 +Rs.5000 (Grade Pay).Out of these three vacancies are reserved for the category of Ex-Serviceman (Gen). of H.P.., two vacancies are reserved for the category of Scheduled Caste (S.C.) of H.P.., one vacancy is reserved for the category of schedule tribe (S.T.) of H.P.,two vacancies are reserved for other backward class (OBC) of H.P., one vacanct reserved FOR Ex-Sevicemen (OBC) of H.P., onevacancy is reserved for physically handicapped (Orthopedically) of H.P.and the remaining four vacancies are unreserved.
  5. Four vacancies of block development officers, Class-I (Gazetted), in the pay scale of Rs. 10300  – 34800 +Rs. 5000 (Grade Pay).Out of these, one vacancy is reserved for the category of Ex-Serviceman (Gen.) of H.P.,one vacancy is reserved for the category of Ward of Freedom Fighter (Gen.) of H.P., and the remaining two vacancies are unreserved.

The vacancies in various services/posts received up to 31st May 2018 will be filled in on the basis of this examination.The number of vacancies to be filled in on the basis of this examination is subject to increase /decrease

 

Age Limit :-

A candidate must have attained the age 21 years and must not have attained the age of 35 years as on 1st January, 2018, meaning thereby that candidates born on or before 01-01-1983 are overage.However, upper age limit is relax able by five years for candidates belonging to S.C., S.T., and O.B.C.,persons with disabilities & Children/Grand children of freedom fighters of Himachal Pradesh.Upper age relaxation is also available to Ex-serviceman candidates of H.P. as per provision of relevant rules/instructions of H.P. Govt.

The age limit for candidates in the service of H.P. Govt. servent who is holding substantive/officiating/contractual appointments in H.P.Govt. or in High Court of Himachal Pradesh or any Court subordinate thereto and employees of the Public Sector Undertaking/corporations/Banks substaintially owned or controlled by the H.P.Government shall be eligible to appear in the examination if he/she possesses a Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University and has not attained the age of 45 years on the first day of January of the year i.e.01-01-2018.Any person who is eligible under this sub-rule and wishes to appear in the examination shall submit his/her application in the prescribed form through hid/her Head of Office to the Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission.

However, in the case of H.P. Police Service, Class-I Gazetted, a Govt. Servant who is holding substantive / officiating/ contractual appointments in H.P. Govt. or in High Court of Himachal Pradesh or any Court subordinate thereto and employees of the Public sector undertaking/corporations substantially owned or controlled by the H.P. Government shall be eligible to appear in the examination if he / she possesses a bachelor’s degree of a recognized University and has not attained the age of 42 years on the first day of January of the year i.e. 01-01-2018

 

How to Apply :-

Candidates will apply only online by using the website http//www.hp.gov.in/hppsc. There is no other mode except applying on online.The detailed instructions for filling up online applications, eligibility candidtion, syllabus, scheme of the examination and centers of examination with code, categories with code etc. are available on the above mentioned website.

Essential Qualification :

A candidate must posses Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.

Application Form & Examination Fee:-

Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs.400/- (for General including General Physically Disabled, Deaf & Dumb, Hearing Impaired, W.F.F., Ex-servicemen relieved from Defence Services on their own request before completion of normal tenure of HP and candidates of other states.)Rs. 100/-(For S.C. /S.T./OBC of H.P.) by cash at any branch of Punjab National Bank, through a challan generated through the above website or the requisite amount of application fee can also be paid through Credit/Debit Cards of any Bank. Ex-Servicemen of H.P. discharged after completion of normal tenure and visually impaired candidates of H.P. are exempted from the Examination fee.

Last date for receipt of Applications:-

The online applications can be filled upto 20/01/2018 till 11:59 P.M. after which the link will be disabled.
